July 4, 1983 - The first 4th of July Gala was run by the Crystal Lake Lions Club at the Crystal Point Mall July 4, 1984 - The first 4th of July Parade in a decade was run by the Crystal Lake Lions Club in conjunction with the 4th of July Gala. The Gala featured the "Taste of Crystal Lake" with Crystal Lake restaurants and 20,000 people attending at the Crystal Point Mall. From the archives in the CL Lions office. |
